Caftan Week
Our approach
We designed the podium as an architectural element in its own right. A sequence of large portals in deep plum and mirror-gold finishes, outlined in light and topped with moving-head fixtures, lines the catwalk, with guest seating built along both sides. Moroccan arches, patterned screens and stepped volumes form the “Maroc, Terre du Caftan” stage, and the same vocabulary continues along the red-carpet arrival and its reflecting pools. Everything was assembled and finished on site, much of it through the nights before the opening.
Caftan Week 2024 (9–12 May) ran under the theme “Morocco, Land of the Caftan”. The main podium had to stage the designers’ collections in a setting worthy of them, carry the cultural theme, and still let every show run smoothly and safely, with models, guests and camera crews all sharing the space.
Final results
Each show had a monumental, unmistakably Moroccan setting that read from every seat and on camera, and the stage, arrival route and pools carried the same identity across the whole venue.
